Project Paradigm
Every project begins with desires and expectations. We believe in aggressive but attainable goals. Setting realistic expectations from the outset is an important step. There is an axiom in agencies and consulting circles that three desires accompany every project — but only two can ever be met. The three desires are: fast delivery, low cost, and done right (the first time). The chart below illustrates this principle, or Project Paradigm.
Pick Only Two: Fast, Cheap, Right.
|
Wouldn't it be great if everyone could have instant gratification and save money? The instinctive but flawed pairing of Fast and Cheap that drives too many business decisions never bears out in the final analysis. No one wants a project done poorly or incorrectly, and no matter how much money was "saved" initially, fixing the problem(s) will only drive the cost up; and the associated delays in providing and applying the fixes flip the actual delivery from "fast" to late. Even if accompanied by a guarantee, the promises of both speed and low cost add up to only lost time and little else if you are left with the project unfinished and unworking (despite money back in your pocket). |
Your Project: Done Right.
|
Let's shift the traditional paradigm together by first agreeing that no project is finished until it is
done, meaning done Right — we insist. |
