ChimeraCo respects the privacy of every individual and every party we engage. This privacy statement provides notice of our information collection practices and of the ways in which information may be used. This policy is subject to change; therefore, ChimeraCo recommends all interested parties review this information periodically.

What information does ChimeraCo collect and how is it used?

A. Personally-Identifiable Information

ChimeraCo typically receives specific data about its web site visitors only when such information is provided voluntarily, such as: when visitors request information by mail, telephone, facsimile, or electronic mail; engage in one or more service transactions; or send us written or electronic communication. Certain of these activities require that you provide personally-identifiable information, such as executing a contractual agreement or providing payment for service. When personally-identifiable information is provided to ChimeraCo, it is used to fulfill only specific request(s) of the provider and to satisfy reporting requirements set forth by the Internal Revenue Service and to comply with applicable state law. In certain cases, you will be given the opportunity to select whether you do, or do not, permit ChimeraCo to use this information for additional purposes. You may also request that ChimeraCo not use your information by sending an e-mail to info@chimeraco.net, however, ChimeraCo reserves the right, in its discretion, to send you bulletins and other important information about ChimeraCo, its services, its authorized agents, and/or other goods and services offered by third-party providers with whom ChimeraCo has relationships and whose offerings may be of interest to you. ChimeraCo will not, however, sell or trade personally-identifiable information unless authorized and/or legally required to do so, or in the case of imminent physical harm to any person or other parties. ChimeraCo assumes no responsibility and accepts no liability for services provided by any agent, vendor, or partner ChimeraCo may engage for third-party services. ChimeraCo cannot safeguard any information you disclose to a third-party or in a public space. In any instance where you voluntarily offer any feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like, to a third-party or in a public space, ChimeraCo will treat that information as non-confidential and non-proprietary and, except as otherwise expressed in this privacy statement, ChimeraCo assumes no obligation to protect such information from disclosure.

B. Non Personally-Identifiable (Generic) Information

Generic information does NOT reveal the identity of any individual. ChimeraCo receives some generic information automatically, such as when a person visits its web site. In such case, the information received usually includes information about the Internet address assigned to the computer used by the visitor accessing its web sites, the number and frequency of visitors and visits, and the sites and pages visited. This information is used for the limited purpose of determining service improvements and ongoing web site development needs. This process may be enhanced by using certain technologies, including "cookies" (a technology that can be used to provide the visitor with tailored information about ChimeraCo and the services it provides and a personalized experience while visiting its web site), when permitted by the browser settings selected by the visitor and in force during the site session.

C. Third-Party Sites

The ChimeraCo web site may at any time contain links to sites that belong to third parties unrelated to ChimeraCo. ChimeraCo cannot protect any information you may disclose visiting those sites and recommends that you review the privacy policy statements of those sites you visit.

D. Exceptions and Limitations

Notwithstanding the foregoing and in compliance with applicable laws, ChimeraCo (i) cooperates fully with state, local, and federal officials in any investigation relating to any content (including personal or private electronic communications transmitted to ChimeraCo) or purported unlawful activities of any user of its services, and (ii) takes reasonable measures to protect its proprietary rights. For the limited purposes of accomplishing such cooperation and measures and in compliance with applicable laws, ChimeraCo may be required to disclose personally-identifiable information. In addition, ChimeraCo may elect to monitor the areas of communication of any kind under its control (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate for ChimeraCo to operate and/or provide service; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of ChimeraCo or others.
